RCWD Hazard Assessment Report

New report in 2026.

Under the cross-connection control regulations or rules of the State Health Department, the water purveyor has primary responsibility to prevent water from unapproved sources, or any other substance from entering the public water supply system. The water purveyor is prohibited by these regulations or rules from installing or maintaining a water service connection to a consumer’s water system within its jurisdiction where a health, system, plumbing or pollutional hazard exists, or wil probably exist, unless the public potable water supply is protected against backflow by an approved backflow prevention assembly installed at the service connection or point of entry.

This is to address untreated water from getting in the system.
